Veenita Bisaria is a results-driven investment and finance professional with over 20 years of experience and a proven track record of developing and successfully implementing a $10 billion investment portfolio - including asset allocation, section of investments, hiring and managing portfolio managers for pension, 401(k) and nuclear decommissioning trusts. Her proven communication and interpersonal skills have been used to effectively work with a

Board of Directors, investment managers and various outside service providers alike. She has also efficiently defined and executed investment strategies to meet specific investment objectives. Veenita’s deep understanding of investment theory and practice, as well as her experience utilizing various risk management practices and derivatives, have been critical components of her career success. She has proven leadership skills, and is a collaborative member of various investment boards and committees. Her genuine passion for the investment management business and financial literacy and in-depth knowledge of the electric utility industry with experience in enterprise risk, treasury, and regulation give her unique perspective in the finance arena.

Veenita currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer for the TVA retirement system (TVARS). In this role, she oversees all aspects of investment and risk for the funds, supervises investment staff, and reports to the seven-person Board and Executive Secretary of the Plan. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree at St. Xaviers College in Ranchi, India, in Economics and Statistics, followed by her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Investments at the University of Denver.
